BEST APPLICATION OF AV IN GOVERNMENT

#41 Dinosaur Museum, Balasinor, Gujarat”

BUDGET

Between 1 crore INR and 4 crore INR (More than USD135,000 but less than USD540,000)

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The client wished to revamp 3 of their rooms with the latest in AV keeping recording & livestreaming as the prime focus. They also had a lot of external sound issues due to the wind tunnel machine blowing near them generating a sound over 100db. NAL is their neighbour & that the blow down sound had to be stopped which was generated hourly. We gave an initial design & then things went for an open tender.

We participated & won the order. We had 4 months time to handover 3 rooms (100 seater, 17 seater & a board room). We had to bring down the old facility completely & strip down all the old interior work done almost 15 years back. We re-did the entire 3 rooms with interiors, electrical, acoustics, sound, lighting, recording, streaming & archiving.

What did the client want to achieve?

A state of the art AV facility with recording, streaming & complete sound isolation from their immediate neighbour National Aeronautics Limited who have a huge wind blowing facility.

Scope of work your company was involved in

Right from stripping down the old interior work to a new design & built project we had to manage it completely. We made 3D’s & walk throughs for the client & took prior approval.

What key challenges were faced?

Finishing the project in a span of 4 months with security issues was a very big challenge. As this a defense organization, getting it & getting out was a tedious process.

How were those challenges resolved?

We had to work in their given time slots & barring once they did not extend any day & night slots for us to work & complete the project. It was the biggest challenge as the amount of daily paperwork involved was really time consuming.

How has your work helped the client?

The client can conduct meetings without the need to worry about the wind tunnel sound blowing into the rooms. At the click of a button they can record, go live & stream their internal meetings. Everything is controlled via automation making it easy for them to operate the system.

What are you most proud of in relation to the project?

Inspite of all the govt. norms, daily formalities, tedious paper work we were able to complete the project on time. It was pain staking but we had no choice. The 3D’s designs took time, underwent some changes & then was finally approved.
